Rough sleepers and homelessness

A significant number of people experiencing rough sleeping or living in emergency accommodation following a period of homelessness have alcohol and/or drug use needs. We provide flexible interventions at locations where people experiencing homelessness may live or present, with the aim to find solutions to any barriers in engaging with treatment providers.

The Haringey Homeless Substance Misuse Treatment Service is a multi-agency collaboration between the peer support service BUBIC(Bringing Unity Back Into the Community), North London NHS Foundation Trust, Waythrough, and Dual Diagnosis Network providing a rapid access route into treatment for people experiencing homelessness or living in temporary accommodation in Haringey.
