A community of support for those affected by substance misuse in Enfield

Our Friends and Family Support Group in Enfield is formed of individuals with lived experience of drug and alcohol misuse and offer valuable support to those affected by addiction.

This unique community, comprised of people who have personally navigated the challenges of addiction or have been impacted by it through close relationships, is dedicated to helping others facing similar struggles.

While they are not professionals, their collective experience provides them with a deep understanding of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to recovery. This gives them an invaluable perspective that is rooted in real-life challenges and solutions. The community members have not only gained insight into overcoming addiction but have also developed compassion and a non-judgmental approach to those they assist.

The primary goal of the support group is to provide a safe space where individuals can talk openly and honestly about their concerns. Drawing from their own journeys, they work closely with those in need, helping them define objectives, create action plans, and work through the steps required to make lasting changes.

Support is offered through group meetings, one-on-one consultations, and collaboration with partner organisations when specialist knowledge is needed. This holistic approach ensures that those seeking help have access to the resources and guidance they need to move forward.

Whether you have experienced addiction firsthand or have been affected by it through someone close to you, this community offers a chance for healing and growth in an understanding and compassionate environment.
